Somalia's Islamists and Ethiopia declare war on each other, as tension heats up in the region.

The powerful Islamic courts movement in Somalia has declared their readiness on their side to defend off what they called Ethiopian aggression shortly after the Ethiopian premier Meles Zanawi said his country has completed preparations for war with neighboring Somalia's powerful Islamist movement, alongside hesitating peace efforts.
In an emergency press conference held by the Islamist authorities at their centre in Mogadishu, they openly declared a holy war against Ethiopians defending the cause of their people and their sacred religion
Speaking to the press conference, the chairman of the Islamic courts executive committee, Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed alongside with deputy chairman of Islamic courts consultative committee Sheik Omar Iman Abu-Bakr has presented a number articles during the press conference.
War is more likely.
Sheik Sharif has accused Ethiopian Prime Minister Mr.Meles of fueling the Somali conflict since the past 16 years in which he said that would never happen again, adding he would not allow the people in his country to be in colony for Ethiopian Invaders.
Sheik Sharif says they (the Islamists) and Somali people will stand together for defending our reputation and dignity and they will prevail with the help of Allah.
The Islamists press conference following by comments made by Ethiopians premier in front of the parliamentary session in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa on Thursday. “When any country faces that type of danger it has the full right to defend itself against this threat,” Meles said.
US double faced policy.
Meanwhile, Sheik Sharif has also criticized the policy of United States of America accusing of having or playing double standard policy in regard of Somali situations. Ethiopian would not have attacked Somalia if it had not the support of America. He added.
The chairperson also urged the Somali interim president Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed and his government to join with Islamic courts council if they serve the interests of Somali people. If not doing so, they might be considered as Ethiopian traitors.
To lift arms embargo is meant all out of war.
Referring to, in incase of partial lifting of arms embargo on Somalia, the Sheik, says it is better to have dialogue rather than lifting the arms embargo on Somalia lifting arms embargo now which UN imposed on Somalia 1992 would be translated as declaring war against Somali people that would even destabilizes the entire region of horn of Africa.
The chairman ruled out the possibility of any foreign terrorist elements presence in Somalia or the Islamic courts give safe haven Al-Qaeda cells inside Somalia.
Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed indicated that all Somalis are Muslims 100% and they alone had restored the peace and tranquility in Somali, which the majority Somali people are now enjoying now he added.
In the conclusion of the press conference, Sheik Sharif has called on all Somalis to take part in the fight against Ethiopian troops who aggressed and violated inside Somali territory. While calling on all Muslim states in the world wide to pray for Somali people as to defeat their enemy (Ethiopia)
